Boat Parties

Chilled and lounge, or a full party by the end. We coordinate with the captain, set up on board and sound check before anyone steps on.

Boat Parties

What it is

Boat parties are some of the most enjoyable events we do. The setting does half the work and the music does the rest.

They vary a lot. Some stay in lounge territory the whole way. Others start there and turn into a full party somewhere around the middle of the charter, which is usually the intention.

Sometimes we supply the equipment. Sometimes the boat already has it and we bring the artists. Either way we make contact with the captain beforehand and set up on board before guests arrive.

How it works

01

We speak to the captain

Before anything else. What is on board, where things can go, and how the day is going to run.

02

Equipment, artists, or both

Some charters have their own system and want our artists. Others need everything. We do either.

03

Set up before boarding

Installed and sound checked while the boat is still moored, so nothing is being fixed once guests are on.

04

Lounge to start

Most charters open relaxed, with music that suits a deck, a drink and the coastline going past.

05

Building through the day

If the party wants to lift, it lifts. Plenty of charters that begin as a cruise end as a proper dancefloor.

06

Live musicians on deck

A saxophone or a cello on the water is one of the best things we do, and it photographs beautifully.

What makes a boat different

It is not simply a venue with a better view. A few things genuinely change.

The captain runs the day

Timings, route and what can go where are the captain's call, and we work to that.

What the boat provides

Some have a sound system already. We find that out before quoting rather than after.

Setting up while moored

Everything is on and tested before boarding, because there is no fixing things mid charter.

Lounge or party

Both are normal, and plenty of charters are both in the same afternoon.

Live music on the water

Saxophone, cello or a singer on deck, with the coastline behind them.

Sheltered and open deck

The setup has to suit where people will actually be standing once the boat is moving.

Good to know

Do you provide the equipment or does the boat?

Either. Some charters have a system already and just want our artists. Others need the lot. We check with the captain first.

Will it be a chilled cruise or a party?

Whichever you want, and often both. A lot of charters open in lounge mode and end up as a full party.

When do you set up?

Before boarding, while the boat is moored, with the sound check done before your first guest steps on.

Can we have live music on board?

Yes. Saxophone and cello both work beautifully on deck.

Who do you coordinate with?

The captain. Route, timings and where things can be placed are their call and we plan around it.
