Hiring DJ and Sound Equipment in Malta: DIY vs Full Service
Sometimes you just need the gear. Sometimes you need someone on site. Here is how to tell which one you actually need.

We rent equipment to professional DJs, production companies, restaurants, villas and people throwing a party in their own garden. Some collect a couple of speakers and are perfectly fine. Others would be far better off with us setting it up and staying. The difference is not about how technical you are, it is about how much is riding on the night.
When renting is the right call
Dry hire makes sense when someone in the group genuinely knows the equipment, when the setup is simple, and when a technical hiccup would be annoying rather than disastrous. A house party, a small private gathering, a professional DJ who plays every week on the same gear. In those cases you save money and lose nothing.
When you need a technician
The moment there are speeches, a ceremony, a paying audience or a moment that cannot be repeated, the maths changes. Weddings and corporate events fall firmly here. Microphones are where most DIY setups come unstuck, since feedback, flat batteries and level problems all happen at the worst possible time. A technician on site costs a fraction of the total event and removes almost all of the risk.
What our rentals include
Every rental is tested before it leaves us, PAT tested and insured. We can deliver, install, test and later collect, or you can pick up. Delivery across Malta is a flat charge, with a separate rate for Gozo since it involves the ferry. If you want us to install and leave it ready to use without staying, that middle option exists too and is popular with villas and restaurants.
The kit we hold
Powered speakers and column systems, Martin Audio concert grade tops and subwoofers, Pioneer and AlphaTheta DJ equipment including CDJ-3000s and all in one systems, wireless and wired microphones, mixers, uplighting, moving heads, effects machines, DJ booths, staging, truss and generators. Because we own it rather than sub hiring, we know its condition and we can usually accommodate late changes.
