Destination Weddings

Ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and party, usually all at one venue. We set up each area and carry the day from the vows to the last song.

Destination Weddings

What it is

A destination wedding in Malta usually looks very different from a Maltese one. Rather than a church and a separate reception, most couples hold the ceremony at the same venue as the reception and book it for longer hours, so the whole day happens in one place.

That means several setups rather than one. A ceremony area, a cocktail area, a dining room and a dancefloor, each needing its own sound and each handed cleanly to the next.

Our team is English speaking and works with international couples every season, so planning happens over video calls and shared documents, and you are not left guessing about how a Maltese venue actually works.

How it works

01

The ceremony setup

One or two speakers, a wireless microphone, a mixer and a laptop with your processional and recessional music. Discreet, reliable and tested well before anyone is seated.

02

Cocktail hour

Guests either move to a second area or stay where they are with a drink while the music continues. This is the natural place for a live musician, usually booked as a two hour set.

03

Dinner and speeches

A setup for the dining area, unless the main reception rig already reaches it. This is where the speeches happen, so microphone handling matters as much as music.

04

The party

The floor opens and the lighting changes with it. Same team, same run sheet, no handover to a different supplier at the point where it matters most.

05

Two calls, not twenty emails

We talk before you book, so your questions are answered up front. Then we come back to you around one and a half to two months before the date to go through the whole day together.

06

Your music, your choices

You fill in your preferences through our planner and choose the key songs yourself, from the moment you walk in to the last track of the night.

Live music through the day

Cocktail hour is where a live musician earns their place. A two hour set lifts the day without competing with conversation.

Saxophone

The most requested by a distance, and the easiest to place. Works over a DJ set or on its own.

Violin

Elegant and classical in feel. Suits ceremonies and drinks receptions.

Harp

Quiet, unusual and beautiful in a courtyard or a garden setting.

Pianist and singer

A duo that carries a cocktail hour on its own without needing volume.

Cello and singer

Warmer and more cinematic. Very good in stone venues where the acoustics do half the work.

Combinations

Musicians layered over a DJ set is something we are known for. Tell us the feel you want and we will suggest the pairing.

Good to know

We are planning from abroad. How does that work?

We speak before you book so your questions are answered, then come back to you around one and a half to two months before the date to walk through the day. Our team is English speaking and works with international couples every season.

Where do your couples usually come from?

Mostly the UK, Ireland and Scotland. We also work with couples from Italy, Spain, France and elsewhere in Europe, and further afield from the United States and India. Hearing the music people bring from home is one of the best parts of the job.

Should we hire a wedding planner?

If you cannot get to the island before the day, we would recommend it. A planner knows how things are done here and can guide you locally. Send us their details and we will deal with them directly, or with you, or with both. What matters most is having suppliers who have handled a Malta wedding before.

Can you do the ceremony as well as the party?

Yes, and it is usually better that way. One team across the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and party means nothing gets dropped between suppliers.

How long is a musician's set?

A cocktail hour booking is normally two hours. Musicians can also be placed at specific moments later in the night instead.

Do you have packages?

Yes, and they are a good way to see what a day like yours usually needs. They are a starting point rather than a fixed menu and we adjust them to your plan.

Every wedding is different. Can you work to our vision?

That is the part we enjoy most. Tell us the direction you have in mind and we will build the day around it rather than around a package.
